With over 250 wineries in Montalcino, deciphering those worth visiting can be daunting. Tuscan Auteur designs unique itineraries that provide clients with an insightful, intimate experience of wine tasting in Montalcino. Our aim is to broaden collectors' knowledge of the DOCG zone, through exploring the varying terroirs, elevations, viticulture and enological techniques of a diverse group of producers.
During visits, we tour the cellar and vineyards, and often meet the family, sitting down at their kitchen table to hear the story of the farm and each vintage. Some wineries even include barrel tasting and the previewing of new vintages not yet on the market. A day of tasting is curated according to the requests, interests and goals of the client. We organize full or half day tours as well as vertical tastings over lunch or gazing at a priceless Montalcino sunset.
